You know Steve, I might go for one or two of those toolboxes for the back of my truck. I'm not too happy with the one I got back there right now... I'll be checking out Home Depot soon as I get a chance

Those are easy to get. K-Mart or any of the big stores should have them. REI is even starting to carry brown colored ones. I use the 24 gallon one for cooking gear and the smaller ones for dry goods.

diamond plate.. go to a fabrication shop for diamond plate anything.. boxes and all that are much cheaper..
iv seen some trucks with diamond plate skids plates.. thats a CUTE idea too..
i think diamond plate is a waste... you can get plastic that does the same.. for alot cheaper. siamond plate is for people who want cute and pretty.. plastic or flat metal work jsut as well

i saw the date.. didnt think that that had anything to do with relevence..
i was very recently, like within the past week looking for diamond plate box ideas and would of either made a new psot.. or resurected this one..
iv prices diamond plate as prefab vs fab shop and the price is about 40% cheaper (a 100 pre fab would only be 60 custom) you might have to do your own hinges and rubber to keep it water proof and silent..
didnt see anyone else put that info here so blaaaam! =P

Dude, what did you make the rear "shelf" out of. That's pretty cool.
