O-nex hid kit install 02 runner
Just installed an O-NEX HID kit on my 02 Runner and this baby looks great!
After finished installing, my lights were flickering and eventually would turn off on their own. I called O-NEX customer service and they told me that I needed to disable my Daylight Running Lights in order to fix the flickering problem with the lights. Did that and VOILA!!! it works perfect. By the way I followed the instructions on this website on how to disable my DRL. I want to thank all of you who have contributed on helping those of us with some limited knowledge on projects like this.
For those who want to know how to disable their/your DRL, is one simple step. (cut the black and yellow wire that goes to the DRL inside your SUV by your right leg under dash board)... that is it!!!.
No side effects, nothing. Everything looking good so far.
hope this helps someone.

Boss just got home with kids.
HID kit is made by O-NEX made in Japan be carefull with cheaper knock offs of O-NEX. Kit was $75 here in downtown Los Angeles got the 6000k lumens. I have to say I am happy with it.
got good pics but problem is files are too big to post. can anyone help on resizing to 48kb to post?

Sigh, more ranting about HID's in non projector housings will now ensue.
I have seen HID's on another member's ride over at T4R, and the glare isn't really that bad. Maybe the OP doesn't have the available time or money to do a projector retrofit. As long as they are aimed properly they shouldn't be a problem for 99% of most drivers...
From what I can see it looks pretty good.
