"O" gasket mod?

i am wondering what the heck this mod is that i have heard of? i did a search and couldnt find anything helpful. i think its for the 3.4l's? i figured since i got one of them now that i could do this mod mabe?

Basically, it's a way to maximize the airflow into the throttle body - every little bit helps.

I found part number 22275-20010 on that thread that is supposed to be for the "O" gasket. is that the right part number?

Yeup, that's the one.

Actually, I have a suggestion and an option for you. Suggestion first...

If you have a Dremel tool (or a sharp knife like an X-acto) then you can cut out the gasket that you have now to be a full circle. You'll note in that thread that Todd ("TOR") says that theu doi that in the shop instead of waiting to get gaskets in on order.

Or... I ended up with a spare gasket from the group buy that Christian did in that thread. I paid $5 for it including postage (like everyone else in the thread) and it's yours for that same amount. PM me with your snail address if you're interested and I'll drop it in the mail. You can send me $5 when you get the gasket.

I don't think that the specifc gasket we're using on out 3.4L V6's will fit on your V8.

None-the-less, the gasket has thus been spoken for. Sorry!
