Well, serves me right for parking under a tree.
Just had the truck detailed, too.
Birds sent some yuckky earthbound messages down onto my nice and shiney hood. When I washed them off, a dull residue remained.
Short of having the whole buffing job done all over again, is there a good short term fix for this? To get rid of the dull area which are now a constant reminder of just how toxic this bird˟˟˟˟˟ is?
Thank a lot!

Short term fix is a pellet gun. Sorry, just had to add that. Can you run your vehicle through a commercial wash only and then wipe back to a nice, shiny buff? I spent all day Sunday, washing and apply Zymol, only to have it storm all morning!

Rob,
I carry a pre-soaped sponge (old one) in a ziplock bag. I usually have a bottle of water too so I just wet the sponge and wipe. Better than letting it eat the paint.

Yes, Bob, but. . .
Bob, the implication of the ziplock bag & sponge is that you're right there when the event happens. But more often then not, you're sipping a beverage in the house, or seeing a film, or visiting when the dastardly deed happens.
The stuff sets quickly under the sun. Then I guess the answer is you're ˟˟˟˟˟ out of luck.
