hey has anybody had to listen to their heat shields on their exhaust rattle. If so how did you quiet them down or did you rip em off. I have one that is pissn me off. Its the one on the side of the transmission. I have an automatic and have heard they tend to overheat or some of them do so I am unsure on ripping that one off.

 

Hose clamps. The heat shield's integral mounting hardware rusts off eventually. Hose clamps keeps it on and quiet.
