newb intro

Sup everyone I'm Mike and I purchased a 97 4runner Limited from a family member for a daily driver last month and figured I'd introduce myself. I've enjoyed reading many of your posts and project threads I have lots to learn... I'm a mechanic by profession, so once I get to know the vehicle better I hope to offer any assistance. I got the vehicle thinking I'd leave it factory and just drive it casually, but my lust for modification has me ordering stuff already. With 150k miles on the clock the factory suspension is junk, so I've got the OME 881/890 setup on it's way... I'm also reading that I should pay close attention to the ball joints, so I'll be inspecting those upon install... clear corners ordered this morning as well. I've installed my full JL Audio setup, so I'll be ordering an alternator from DC Power very soon. Anyways I'm glad to be aboard

Awesome! Welcome! I'm not a mechanic, but have learned SO much from my 4Runner, and just completed an engine swap on it. You'll love your 4Runner! My family has 4 3rd generation 4Runners. They've all got high mileage and run like champs! Always great to have another professional on the board.

Also, not a big deal, but I guess there is a forum for these kind of posts here:

One of the mods might move it, but either way, Welcome!
