I have just been looking at some runners. i have also been into cruiser but just wanted to know somethings about3rd generations. When was the factroy locker available and what would one pay for a stock 4runner(sr5) with say 100k miles and the locker. also how much HP do they have.

 

welcome n00bie! 1996 was the first year for the locker, price would vary from dealer to private party and 183 (v6) is the rated HP..good luck!

 

183 hp. kinda low, i know there are alot more options as far as engine perf. add ons than cruisers so what can be done to a 96+ to gain say 50 HP.

 

Look on the page towards the top, and there's this button that says 'Search'.

Use it.

Find all sorts of information about superchargers, fuel upgrades, headers, whatever.

 

Supercharger is the only surefire way to get 50HP in one fell swoop.

 

Guess they're gonna have to make the search button flash on and off again
