Yeah, it depends on the top plate, not the coil spring...

But I didn't use a Revtek spacer...

Yes but the thory is that you will not need it with the 4WD. I also have a theory that the extra droop added to my alxe breakage in Moab.

Just a theory at this point. Need to test it.

Yes, that's correct. The revtek-type sapcer sits on TOP of the factory top plate, hence the longer studs. As long as the top plate bolt pattern matches the revtek-type sapcer, then you have compatability.

The pressure of the coil spring pressing on the head of the bolt will prevent them from turning, so that won't be a problem - I would rather have the studs, but according to Revtek, they have them specially made. I would just provide the Grade 8 hardware w/ the spacer kit, and if you wanted the revtek studs, then you could just cough up the $42 they charge and use them and chunk the Grade 8 stuff.
Just knock about a 1/16" off the top of some M10 X 1.5 X 40 Class 10.9 bolts. Works like a charm. Once the nut (use a serrated flange nut) gets a grip, the bolt doesn't turn at all. Best of it all, the cost isn't anywhere near seven bones each. The Revtek splined bolts are Class 8.8 (equivalent to a Grade 5) if my info is correct...

Alas!! I have Tundra coils, and billies too!!! I just got them on about 25 minutes ago, and took them for a little spin. All I can say is, WOW! These coils actually compress when you hit a bump! I think the HD Billies work fine for me, albeit a tad stiff. I'll get some measurements and pics ASAP. I'm so exhausted from dealing with this, but it's so worth it. I notice that my a-arms are now much more level, meaning I lost a lot of useless lift and gained a whole lot more droop. Amazing, simply amazing.

They are 82 each. 60 are 4Runner coils.

Best price I found online:

What springs are we talking about? Tundra 2wd or 4wd? I am confused b/c of the spacer issue. Gapguy, which springs are you running?

I'm running the AF090/AF100 coils with a 3/8" top spacer. I'm going by part numbers only, as that's the only thing that is confirmed and consistent.

Can someone help me understand the rear OE conical bumpstops? I'm guessing that I have them already on my 4runner. Is there any reason to replace them when I put in this new suspension?

Andy: How is that spacer kit comin'?

Thanks.

you have only a ARB Sahara Bar up front?

How much lift? Still a soft ride? Checked the travel?

thanks.

Gapguy, do you have any idea if they are 2wd or 4wd? did you use a spacer?

If I'm reading right it says he used a 3/8" top spacer.

Will the TRD set up be ideal if I have a decent amount of added weight in my butt? Or is there something I should add to compensate for that?

If your 4runner is a 96-98 and had the recall done, or if it's a 99-02, you have these bumpstops. Keep them in, they're a small spacer and prevent coil bind. SS3 has a good bit of info about these on his site.

I only have the Sahara bar and Hella 4000's up front. The ride is fantastic, much softer than the 882's and SAW's. I'll check the travel and amount of lift once I get a chance to drive on these a little bit more and let them settle.
Yes, they are the YY/BY coils

This is for the FRONT only. I have the OME 891 coils in the rear, and they do great with the amount of weight I carry. I'm thinking about selling them and giving the Downey coils a shot just for kicks.

Andy is working on the color codes vs. application info. I've seen these coils ONLY on Double Cab TRD 2wd & 4wd Tundras. Just go by the part number.

Yes, I used a 3/8" top spacer and the longer Revtek studs.

Also, I still have the measure the flex and whatnot, but I'm pretty sure these are viable option. SS3 will be testing them more throughly. Look for his results.

Thanks gapguy. My truck is a 96. I bought it with 83k miles on it and have no clue if it was done or not. The truck was originally in Canada and then later brought to the US. When that occured it had lots of things switched over but not sure about the bumpstops. If the recall wasn't done what should I do?
