Just wanted to get some more advise on here. I have decided to go with the Sonoran Steel lift - System 7.2 (2.5" Front & 2.5" Rear).

Any other parts i need to order with this?http://www.sonoransteel.com/store_co...tml#System_7.2

Whats a nice size tire to get with factory rims with this lift?

Also whats the largest size tire you can fit under a class III hitch? Do you all own fu size spares when you get new tires?

thanks!

The 7.2 kit has everything you need. Read over the FAQ's for tire fitment info. You can run a 285/75.16 or a 255/85/16 with the kit.

whos make a good on/off road tire (265/75/16) with a nice looking tread on the sidewall?

Also do the 265/75/16 fit for the spare?

i've been looking into this at my local off-road store and they recommend an OME lift kit (i've a 99 4Runner)... not sure what all he part/model numbers are yet as they said that will depend on how firm i choose to go.

i've also read on the the sonoran steel site that OME lifts (the shocks in particular) can cause problems... now i'm not big into wheeling, just like the aggressive look of a life and camping around old logging roads, so will the OME shocks be ok for that use you think? do the shocks need replacing at all?

i like the idea of doin getting them to compress the springs and putting it all together with a mate, but not sure i'd be able to handle a problem if one came up... maybe i could do the rear and take it to them for the front...

What off-road store in Van did you go to? I have an OME setup on my 99 and the stance is just fine and no rub issues with 265/75/16.

Check out Nitto Terra Grapplers, for more aggressive look, Goodyear MT/R is nice.

i got the dick cepek fcII's and love them, good in the snow, ice, dirt and not too bad in the mud. the cooper sst, the mt/at combo work well. we put them on our work trucks, and beat on them, no rotations, highway/jobsite/mud/snow. They hold up.
