New to the site! Got some questions

Hi everyone have heard nothing but good things about this place. Anyway I'll get started.

I have a 99 4runner with 84K miles and I've been getting about 14 mpg that's doing 60% highway and 40% City driving. Here's the following maint I've done so far:

-Coolant Flush
-Front & rear differential Flush
-Replace the PCV valve
-Cleaned the throttle body and the MAF sensor with air intake cleaner and MAF cleaner
-Changed the air, oil, and fuel filters
-Brake fluid flush
-Used the BG44K Emission cleaner set
-Timing Belt/ Water Pump
-Crank/Cam Shaft Seals
-Replaced Spark Plugs/Wires (NGK)
-Replaced the three belts I'm not sure what they all go to

But since this didn't yield any results I went to AutoZone and had the following codes read both saying circuit malfunction.

P0100
MAF or VAF

P0110
IAT Sensor

My question is how accurate are the machines they use to read the codes and would you guys recommend replacing both these items. Because at this point I'm desperate with the mpg issue.

Thanks in advance.

Here she is!

I just replied to your posting over at t4r.org.

Do some diag on those codes. Dont just start throwing parts at something hoping it will fix it. Autozone parts guys shouldnt be allowed to give you a diagnosis on a problem. Most of them couldnt tell the difference between a spark plug and a butt plug

I beleive your code is due to a bad A/F sensor

I bought mine with 150,000 on it. I had to replace the MAF (Yes I tried cleaning it) the new MAF solved a lot of problems.

My 2 cents.
