man i love the subs, two solarbarics now thats going to make SOME NOISE. And whoever said subs are riced out or whatever, is wrong because i have a rig i take on the trails, along with many others on this board, i have subwoofers. I like the rig man its nice for a 2wd.

I am looking at getting the chrome package from todd for it to replace the gold package. I do like your idea too about the gunmetal wheels and will have to look into that to find a set that i like. I dont want spinners no matter what size wheel i got with.

How does having a full range of music make it sound worse? Waste of money? What if I think your lift is excessive? Thats a waste of money and gas. You argueing this does nothing. Its your opinion and nothing but putting down on people because you dont like something. If you dont like it dont pay attention to it and reply about it.

I mean you can't even roll your window up to get away from it. Why waste money on something that makes your music sound worse? Myself and 99.9% of other Americans would really appreciate it if you and everyone else packing these retarded auto additions would stop making us listen to "SOME NOISE" (you are correct, that is all it is). I am glad you are so proud of your wasted money and cargo space. You better hurry up and get your whistle tip before they outlaw them...

I am new around here, I like this board alot, I've learn alot from it, especially the famous "SEARCH" button, there are things that I like and there are things I don't like, but isn't America about freedom and expressing your self, I came here as a war refugee, I don't like comunism, why - because you have no rights, here we have rights, not too much here in Kali but we still do, and I think each one of us can do what ever we want to do to our rig, car, truck, ride or what ever you want to refer to your property, nuff said....

The only people I have met in life that don't enjoy the enhancement a sub brings to music have been over the age of 45 and close minded. When I bought my first subs I was all about letting everybody else hear it. Now after a few years I realize it's probably not the most respectful gesture to pull up to a stop light and leave your music turned up to an unreasonable level. Thats just plain annoying. It doesnt really bother me too much when other people do it because i know that they are just making themselves look like a tool.
If you've never had a system 44, I highly suggest investing some money into it. You dont have to go out and spend 2 grand on it like some of us, you could get by with about 300.
A system is the first mod I will do to any car, truck, apartment, house, or boat I ever own.

So maybe it's not your style, don't get you panties in a wad. If you wanna flame someone go back to the Pirate board. This board is for everyone, not just off-road vehicles. Cut him some slack at least he doesn't have stickers plastered all over it with strobe lights everywhere. Respect goes a long way.

Well said!
dbikeman, one person obviously does not represent the thoughts of the rest of the board.
How much was it to add the 99+ look to your truck? (part cost list maybe?)
I really want the turbo hood (esp now since mine has a huge dent and needs work).
How much was that?

I am 23 and cannot deny that subs can add to and enhance the quality of music. It is generalization on my part, but it has been my experience that people with large speakers in the back have no concept of what good music is. They crank the bass way up and just let it thump, annoying me and everyone else on the road or even in their houses that have taste. Sure, you could leave these large speakers at a tenth of their potential and actually get them to just enhance the bottom end. That would be the smart way to go, but it is still not the norm. The norms seems to be to get the bassiest music you can possibly find and crank the crap out of the bass until it sounds like total crap, rattles your body panels, and pisses me off.
I have already spent about 300 bucks on a head unit to replace my factory head unit when it went out. That is all I care to spend on that as money is better spent elsewhere. In my old Integra I had 3 8" speakers. They sounded very good but they were down very low, simply enhancing, not overpowering.
I too like to listen to my music loudly. Whether it be at home or in the truck, my music is always fairly cranked when it is on. I turn down my junk at lights as well if I have my windows down. It is the respectful thing to do. I have always done this and wish more people would follow suit. Problem with cranked bass is not only does it sound like crap, there is no escaping it. I do not want to listen to it yet certain people give me no choice. I feel it to be extremely disrespectful. Now the music that I was enjoying at a reasonable volume (between 9:00 and 11:00) and not imposing on anyone else sounds like crap too because of this overlayed bass line through which I can hardly even hear what I had playing. You are right too, every single time this happens I think to myself, what a freakin tool.

Kiss and make up!
I think your rig looks nice and clean! To each his own and if that is what floats your boat, ride the wave bro!
We all know what opinions are like,
so here's mine!
I love loud music, always have, always will. I'm in a band, I play guitar and driving down the road on a nice spring day I'll roll down the windows and pump up the tunes. I've also become conscientious enough in my old age to turn my radio down when I come to a red light, if I have my windows down, out of respect and courtesy for people around me who probably would like to hear what they have on their radio and not mine.
What I don't like is driving down the road and having someone in my general vicinity have so much bass they rattle the loose change in my console and make it IMPOSSIBLE to hear my music in my own vehicle with my windows rolled up. This has occurred not only while sitting at a red light but on the move as well.
That in my opinion is just too damn loud. No way you would ever hear an emergency vehicle or a horn from another vehicle warning you or whatever. Play your music the way you want, but let's have a little respect for those of us who like to listen to our own in our own vehicle. (Good grief, I've turned into a parent!)
I use and setup sound equipment all the time for gigs and a pair of woofers that size with minimal amplification are capable of projecting bass loud enough to fill a small auditorium full of people and it sound good, yet to have them in a vehicle that is less than 50 square feet or whatever the figure comes out to be is major overkill. One day you will grow old, the good Lord willing, and you'll want to actually be able to hear the world around you, with a little James Taylor in the background!

"Its weird how that car looks so much like a truck. Granted a riced out truck, but a truck none the less..."
Then I was asked to elaborate again and again after each consecutive statement. If you don't want the answer, don't ask the question. You all are total hypocrits as I am the one getting flamed for my opinion, an opinion I was asked to give.
