New OME lift... Diff Drop problems..
First off: finally got my lift on after 3 weeks of hassel!!!!
2.5" OME coils w/ Kyb shocks
First attempt resulted in a no-go with miss aligned struts then that night I got the truck stuck on a stump while mudding in Wisconsin. Had to leave the truck in there for a week till the ground hardened up... but that's another story...
Took me about 5 hours on Saturday by myself, and 2-3 hours with help from a buddy on Sunday to finish her off.
Did everything coils, shocks, panhard bracket and emergency brake cable extender... Used the bottle jack method for the front struts; worked like a charm. Still to do: brake line and Diff drop... the diff drop bolts are impossible! Even tried an impact wrench cannot get those things off! Any suggestions?!
the CV are at a pretty high angle and i noticed a few beads of grease on them so i need to make this happen ASAP... I'm thinking of trying a HUGE pipe like 4 ft, and just fit that over a big ratchet and load that bolt with a large moment...
pre heights as measured from the ground:
front/rear
35.25"/36"
38"/38.75'' (should mention it's also loaded with at least 100lbs of tools...)
anyway i love pictures and i'm sure you do too so here she is:
Before as i bought it...

New tires...

with lift... same tires... no running boards... and pre-tacoma mud guards...

thinking about 285's... but first diff drop! help!

Soak the bolts in PB Blaster for a couple nights in a row if they appear rusted. If they are not rusted, a cheater bar is what you need.
Most CVs weep grease after a lift as the boots/bands have been at one angle and spot for so long that when they are moved/stretched they weep grease. Just wipe it off and keep checking it as mine resealed themselves after a few days.

good job
Looks great matt! Hey Brian its Miles, do you make slider for his truck and if so how much are they? He is in need of some and I know that trail gear makes a good set for a great price but If you make em he might want to go that route. Thanks Oh yeah and the PB blaster I forgot about that.
Great Job matt that rig looks great!

if it's just the diff drop you're worried about drive up to a local auto shop and get them to let you use their air tools for 5 seconds, loosen the bolts, manually tighten then go back and install it

I soaked mine for about 4 hours, and then blasted them with an electric impact for about 5min per side before they loostened. I had to stop every couple of minuites, becase thats one heavy gun to hold upside down for a while.
