New bumper and shoe's installed.
Slowly i am putting my 4runner back together.
Installed some new tires (31") and found that one of my wheels was bent. My dad had given me his set of wheels off his '94 Toyota truck. So i put them on with the new tires.
I received my new All-Pro bumper Friday. It comes unpainted and by Saturday sitting outside it had some surface rust.
So i ran off to Wal-Mart and purchased some Dupli-Color truck bed coating.

I picked up a spray gun also. It was on sale for $20.

I did a bunch of sanding and preping. The gun worked great and i spent abount 2 hours shooting the coating on the bumper.
I wasn't too sure if the gun could spit the coating out being that the coating was real thick. But it actually did real well for a $20 gun.

Alex, i purchased some shackles from Central 4WD that gave me a 1 1/2" lift.

I'm also running a add-a-leaf to help with the leafs. Right now i sit higher in the rear than the front.

There is actually (5) bolts per side. Two bolts hold the bracket to the frame and three bolts hold the bumper to the bracket.
Real easy to install.

It is solid without the inch weld. The guy at All-Pro said if i was going to pull somethning with it then i would need to beef it up.
If i can get ahold of a welder i will add the welds.

thanks, thats exactly what i am going to do. Everything on your truck goes togther so well, thing is like in prestine condition. Where can i get that rear bumper, it gives it so much visual clearance in the rear, and what did you do for front lift if any?

Man, that truck bed lining stuff turns out really nice! Though the can says rollable and sprayable, do you think it can be painted on w/ a paint brush?
In retrospect, I think this stuff would look better than the Hammerite I used on my sliders.

I bought the same stuff. Dipli color. But I got mine in a rattle can. I used it to do the body about 2/3 from the top down on my 93 reg cab truck. It doesn't look all that bad for a rattle can. I will try to get pics next day or so.

How do you like the nice hum from the TXRs?
I really like mine.
Now all you need is a set of sliderz and a nice front bumper.
Glad to see the rig coming back, and it looks like a wise choice to fix it up after that young woman smashed into it.

Hey there Bob. You can buy the coating in a 1 quart can or in a rattle can like mp101v said. If you roll it on you will not get the "textured" look. It will roll on smooth. If you want the textured look you need to spray it on.

I'm liking the TXR's. They do hum alot more than my BFG's.
I'll try and hook with ya sometime. I'm under the gun to finish my house. The bank is giving me 5 weeks to finish :cry:
I still have a ton of work to do
I think i need to make a run up to the hills after i finish to relax for a bit.

where did you get the spray gun for $20? im thinking about just spraying on my own bed liner this week and i cant decide wheather to get a Siphon-fed or a gravity fed spray gun.
