Need a quick answer on manual transmision
I've got a 98 4runner SR5. I'm changing all the fluids in the driveline and I need help on the manual trans. Is the drain plug the 24mm on the passengers side and the fill about half way up on the drivers? It makes sense up the pic if my repair manual doesn't look quite right.

Sweet. The ones on the front diff aren't 24mm bolts are they? It looks like they have a have an insert for a hex key.
Also, what do I need besides a standard socket set and a swivel to do the spark plugs?

As far as the spark plugs, you will probably want to take the intake tube off so you can get to the passenger side plugs easier. That only requires a screwdriver though. Then, it is handy to have a torque wrench so you don't overtighten the plugs. Make sure not to cross thread them either.

It is also a good idea to remove the fill plug before the drain plug on all the drivetrain components. It allows the fluid to drain easier and if for some reason you were not able to get the fill plug off after draining it, you would be screwed.
