Was yours failing? I was under the impression that they only need to be replaced if you throw a code...

 

I'm just replacing the front one.

Both of mine are the originals with 114k on 'em. So I'm doing it more as preventive maintenance than anything else.

I'm also about to get into a new bout of tuning and wanted the cleanest/most reliable signal I could get out of the front one.

Say, have you cleaned your MAFS? I think I am going to hit mine (even though I have no problems).

Just use contact cleaner...and that's it - I think.

 

Yeup, I sure have... I did it when I cleaned out my throttle body a while back. I used "Fuel Injection Air Intake Cleaner". Got a lot of gunk out of the TB and a relative amount of crud out of the MAF.

That OEM one mentioned on that site is not a true Toyota OEM sensor. It is one made by Walker and has the proper plug on it.

I just ordered a new one from www.Partznet.com today for about $93 for a real Toyota one.
