Need Help...Stuck spark plug wires

Can anyone suggest a method for removing stuck spark plug wires. The three wires/spark plug wire boots on the drivers side are stuck and do not seem to want to come out. When I purchased my rig a few years ago, I replaced the wires with some thicker Magnecor spark plug wires. At that time, they were very easy to remove and replace.

I have tried to pull them out with all my strength and cannot get them out. Due to me pulling on them, I have torn the spark plug wire boot on one of the wires. I have purchased a spark plug wire remover tool from MAC for better gription and this has not helped at all. Any suggestions on what else I could try?

Welcome to the downfall of aftermarket plugwires. Just yank them out of there, and replace with a factory set. You will thank yourself in the future.

If you have torn a plug boot, you should replace it anyways, and the only way they sell these wires is in a set.

Thicker wires doesn't equal better.

Get those wires off (rip them if you have to) and buy a new set at the dealer.
You can use a bit of dielectric grease on the inside of the boot next time to make this process easier.

Acetylene...as in a torch? how exaclty do you propose using a cutting torch to remove spark plug wires?

As for a deckplate mod....SEARCH for it. I bet there is 20 threads and countless articles devoted to this mod.
