Question Need Help Question

Sorry for all of the questions..you guys have been great.. I replaced my radiator which had a crack on top i finally found it.. added toyota red..15 bucks a gallon ouch...warm it up and no leaks..fast forward to next day.. drive to work no leaks on way home stop at walmart and it is leaking..i come home not leaking...i take of skid plate to check hose clamps and they are good..i look around waterpump area and thats where it seemed to have come from. i filled it initially with 1 gal toyota red 1 and 1/4 gallon distilled water. does the water pump have an overflow sensor or something telling it to flush or is it about to die...i opened the radiator and there was plenty of coolant..any ideas ????i was thinking maybe i put too much coolant so it has an overflow to push out extra...any ideas greatly appreciated btw 95 3.0

nm4runner,

If the system is okay, the only reason you see the red fluid is if you overfill the reservoid. However, this is normal since when the engine is hot, it fill up the reservoid quite a bit, that's why never fill it above the mark.

Keep observing and see if it's still leak in the next few days.

Good luck,

Nam
