Need help with part numbers...

I got to spend a little time checking things over on my '92 4runner. I wound up taking the skid plate off to get to the AC belt adjuster, and found that the adjuster bolt was missing. This explainse why the AC had been hit and miss and at times squealing like a pig!

When I put new belts on the truck, this particular adjuster bolt broke. I took the spent carcas to the bolt store and put a new one in. This is why if fell out, I'm sure, new bolts have no rust to hold them in!

Anyway, I now have no old bolt to size up, and need some help here. Anybody have the part number or sizes for this adjuster bolt? It's for a 3.0 v6.

The other help I need is with the rear wiper arm, she's rusted up enough to keep it from touching the window, and that rather pisses me off. Any ideas?

this may sound crazy, but drive up to your dealer, right to the front door of the parts office. drag a parts representative out and show him exactly what you need. get under the truck and get dirty right there!

The dealer parts counter has charts that show just about every tiny little part on every Toyota made. He will probably need you to look at the chart on the computer and be able to point it out. Then he'll probably want something rediculous like $4 for it and make you wait till a week from friday for it to be shipped.

Your friendly neighborhood junkyard may want a buck or less. I visit the same junkyard 2-3 times a month and I'd probably get something small like that for free since they know me pretty well. And i'd have it in my hand 10 minutes later.

My local bolt supplier only charged me $.25 for the new replacement, if I just have the measurements, I'd be all set!

If there was a cute girl behind the parts counter, I could see getting dirty, but some guy who lives in his parents basement and smells like coffee and old cigarettes...I'll pass!

All right, so I may be stuck scrounging my local yards for goodies, too bad I'm in the heart of GM land! I was hoping maybe Tod from TOP could help with some numbers...hehe.

Part Numbers

OK...so I was at my local dealer, in Peterborough it's Russelle Toyota, who seem to be pretty good people. I'm at the parts counter, getting the gaskets for my AISINS!!!! And I see the parts guy has a monitor that shows every part on the vehicle, complete with part number. Diagrams, blow ups, blahblahblah...
Just wondering if anyone with some computer savy would know how we might get our hands on this info??

To my knowledge, they're part numbers and scematics are all transfered from microfiche, and now on CD. I think they could be had, but are pricey!

I'll order up what I need tomorrow, when I have my head gaskets checked out...
