Anyone have a laptop in their car? If so what mount system did you go with. I need something that works well but doesnt take up alot of room.

I ordered the trek desk for my 4Runner.. I will post pictures of it when it comes in.

 

I had one in my company car a few years back with a Ricochet wireless modem so I could surf the Net while at work. It was a Jotto Desk.

I think you will find that it is very high quality.

The company car was a Crown Vic and the jotto bolted to the seat bolts. I think on the 4Runner you will have to drill holes in the floor, but it will be rock solid.

Wow. Those $25 ones on Ebay look great. Can you post some pics of your mount in your 4Runner? Can it be turned and/or repositioned (ie turned to face the passenger or turned to face the driver) without unbolting it from the floor? Thanks. I've been looking for one of these.

I have ran my little Garmin eTrex on the laptop as a test, but have not driven off road with the laptop.

Once of those is waaaaaaaaaay cheaper than the commercial units.
