Will 96 4runner 2wd drive rims fit a 99 4wd truck? These are 15" rims conpared to the 16" 4wd rims.

No they won't. The brakes on the 16" wheel package will not fit inside the 15"wheel.

I feel your pain. I had a new set of 32X11.50 15 Bridgestone Dueler M/T's on my Ranger that I wanted to put on my 4Runner.
