Hey guys,

Newbie just traded for a 1997 4Runner 4x4 SR5 5spd. Took the guys word that it was a wheel bearing that was making so much noise

Turns out that Rear end is noisy and needs replacement...obviously run dry at some point....this with only 90K on the odometer!

Tried replacing rear seals, fluid, axels and brakes....still noisy.

I have LOTS of wrecking yards here in Los Angeles, I am very close to Sun Valley.

Can anyone tell me what years, models are compatible, as it seems the entire rear end is one piece?

Can anyone tell me if one wrecking yard is heads above better than another?
Any forum discounts??
