Hi guys/gals,

This morning my rear handle smashed into pieces in my hand when I tried opening, I guess because it was frozen.
Can you guys let me know exactly what parts do I need to buy to fix this? If you have part numbers that would be great.
The rusted part underneath reminds me of the Titanic.... I guess it all has to be replaced.
This is for my 2000 4Runner SR5.

Oh goodness…..what’s the frame look like?

if you go to a Toyota parts site you can pull the rear hatch up and see the exploded view, who knows what’s creeping behind that and exactly what you need, taking it apart and looking at the effected parts might be your best bet.

 

How quickly are you looking to repair that? I have a spare tailgate in my garage, but I would have to disassemble it to get the bezel and hardware.
