my lovely 22r and it's dying...

i have a "supposedly" doa built 22r (bought it that way) ... with a holley carb.... it is nicely equipped with a camden supercharger and i'm running 5psi as of now...but that ลลลล dies ALL THE TIME i get on some TINY angles and it dies it really is starting to piss me off... i mean i know carb's don't do as well but mine is just rediculous.. is there any tips you guys have to make it not die "AS MUCH" ? someone mentioned a carb spacer? would that help? thanks

kyle

it could be any number of things.. and since i am not there to diagnose it, there is no way i can accurately tell what it is....

contact doa and ask them.... it shouldnt be dying all the time.... i would thing the timing is off or a vacuum line to check first

I've also heard bad things about holleys. I'd go back to stock just to save future hassle. If your timing is on and you still get this problem, check your vacuum advance for leaks or see if it is even connected at all (I've made that mistake a couple times).

Agreed, holley's are crap. Maybe try a webber or even if you can get your hands on a stock one like someone suggested. But if you have a S/C You may not be able to use a stocker.

I'm not sure though as I don't have experience with S/C's and Carbs.

i'd try a weber 38 if you can get your hands on a used one(all weber carbs that are new are old stock now, the 2 year strike put them under). they can be tuned pretty well for angles and are supposedly 390cfm.

what holley are you running right now?
