Is my information correct???

Hey all,
Just wanted to know if any of you can answer a question about tranny "guts".

I was doing some more research and found that the mechanical parts of the tanny are the same from '95-'02. The casing is different due to the "newer design" of the vehicle but the insides are the same. Is this true, or are people trying to send me down the path of burning money?

From what I have read you can switch out the parts (inside) of a '95 to a '02 tranny and just use my old casing. Sorry about all the tranny questions but for now that is all I can fix or "add" to my truck.

Oh and btw the Model number is A340F. Just incase that makes a difference or helps in any way.

Thx a Million,
YM

You are close to being correct, just off by one year. The internal components vary from time to time, some range form 9511-0208 and the some of the ring snaps and discs for the clutch range from 9707-0208. It just really depends on what all you are replacing in what model.

I do not think the guts are the same. The number of valve bodies in the auto increased from 95 runners to 96 AFAIK.

Not sure what you are trying to get at with the question, but this is what I know. That is what causes the problems with the stock auto and 3.4 in 2nd Gen rigs.

The T100 starting using the 3.4 in 95 I believe, so that may be why the information you got said 95.

What ezzackly do you need to swap out in your tranny? Or is it broken? A good resource is Marlin Crawler, they know their stuff. Oh, sorry, just realized your model is an auto. Marlin doesn't do autos...
