no. well only 2002's had "sport edition"s available. in 99 it was called the highlander edition. if you have a hoodscoop, it's a highlander.

but either way, that won't matter in something like a pushbar. 99-02 have the same front bumper. except some have foglights, some don't.

Trust me, you'd know if you had a Sport Model or not. They have hood scoops, and color-keyed front and rear bumpers to match the overall paint of the 4R. There are more differences, but these are just a few major differences.

I'm just wondering what part of it being a Highlander/Sport makes the push bar not fit as all '99s still have the basic same design.

There should be no reason that any grill guard would not fit a Sport or Highlander edition 4runner. The only thing that changes from the SR5 to the Sport/Highlander is ths scooped hood, and paint. The overall shape of the hood is the same, and it is very possible to swap hoods without swapping fenders/grilles. I can't see why they would write that, I'm baffled!

its our fat lip bumpers that make a pushbar hard to put on. Ive seen safari/ bull bar/ push bars whatever you want to call them on our 4runners.. and I think a push bar is technically the center piece of a grill guard without the grill light guards and top overbar.

Correct me if im wrong but you could easily order a 3 piece grill guard and just not put on the light guards whenever.

Well since you are not asking in the Newbie section.....my answer is SEARCH.
It is button on automatics that when "on" will hold your shifts longer for extra power. Much reading on pros and cons of this.

sport edition also had a cheesey skid plate on the bottom of the front bumper. that may be what the manu was referring to, as it might interfere with the mounting of the brush guard...

Does this mean that ANY Highlander w/ Diff Lock has a 4.30 rear diff ratio?

Or only the Highlanders w/ Automatics + Diff Lock have the 4.30 rear diff ratio?
