hey guys, so i'm kinda new to the whole vehicle knowledge.
But i have a 2001 4runner limited and it seems like the rpm's are a bit low. Wen i am at a red light and the car is on 'Drive', my RPM is 500 ... is that low?
Cause i know my friends cars (not 4runners) and my dad's 2000 Toyota Sienna is not that low wen stopped.
Also when i am stopped (with the brakes on) i feel a somewat of a shaking and i hear a noise inside the dashboard, like if there is something loose (a cable?).
can anyone explain or does my 4R have a problem i should check??

 

It's normal, then it should go up to about 6-750 rpms when you put it in park.

 

yea, it moves up to around 700rpm wen i put it on Park or Neutral.
