my 1989 removeable top

So i have an 89 4runner and i want to remove the top. Im the second owner of this 4runner and i know that in the 15 years of this trucks life it has never seen a convertable day.....I really would like to take it off sometime this comming summer. I know how to do that its not hard but.....What are the risks of my seals going to crap. If that does happen where can i get new ones? Is the roof not going to fit back on if i do this also since its been on there for so long?

This truck was made to do this and i would really like to use this to its full extent and im sure all of you would like to see one more topless 4runner riding around

I happen to have a brand new seal/gasket. I thought I needed but didn't. Brand new still in the bag. PM if interested.

i had the top off my 86 several times and never had a problem with the seal. just make sure you have another person to help, the top IS heavy! there are a couple connections in the back left corner that you have to undo before going topless, one is for the rear washer fluid and the other for the rear wiper. be careful with the interior trim pieces, they can be fragile so dont rush.
