Red face Multiple questions :)

first my truck came with a hitch and i was just curious how to tell what class it is.....is it was simple as
1 1/4'' - class 1
2'' - class 2
2 1/8'' - class 3

or is it more complicated

second is i got my tranny flushed a bout a week ago and i notcticed on the bill today that they refilled with dexron III, when my manual says D II...is that a prob or is it just that D III wasn't out when my truck was made (92)? and if i ever need to add any i should prob use D III right?

thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure Dexron II was upgraded to Dexron III, and so it is safe to run DIII in all the older vehicles...it is just a newer ATF fluid.

It's just like DOT3 brake fluid going to DOT4.

BINGO!! And yes rabid, keep your fluids all the same. Dont "mix and match" your rigs fluids. it's ok to mix and match "Geranamals"..... as long as the tags match up. Dont do it to your rig though.
