There's only 2 people on this board with glasspack mufflers (that I'm aware of), and only one has it installed. I'll make it 2 installed as soon as I can.

We need to spread the love for Cherry Bombs!

If your going to get just a muffler, I say go for a Magnaflow or a Borla. Borla makes a 19" body muffler that would probably sound pretty good on a 3.4L.

I'm getting my 24" Magnaflow installed on the 27th. I can't wait to hear it!

I have a 2.5" Flowmaster 50 Series SUV with a high flow cat, and it sounds great. People can really hear me coming, and it doesn't resonate. If I'm driving with my windows closed on the highway, I can't hear anything (people outside wouldn't guess it though

I don't know, anything will sound cool as long as it is a good brand. If you put on a Wal Mart muffler, your disappointed cries will be as loud as the fart sound that'll come from your tailpipe.

Quick question for ya....If the muffler's size gets bigger, means more loud deeper low sound? or more quieter ? What about the performance gain?
I want loud a deep low but not that screaming loud like race car.

The bigger the muffler, the "queiter" it will be. It will still be louder than stock but without the drone. I've heard good things about the 24" Magnaflow. You get the same performance because it's a straight through design.

The shorter the muffler, the louder it is and that means droning in the cabin.

hey thanks for the site. some good clips. good to hear. i'm thinking about selling my 93 p/u and getting a new tacoma with a V6. Any suggestions to get better performance from the 3.4L V6? How is the power from the 6?

I think the 3.4L has plenty of power. You have to remember, it's a pickup truck. If you want more power, the only serious way is to S/C it. That will cost you several thousand dollars and you may end up running into a lot of headaches down the road.

I'm just doing my exhaust and leaving it at that.

You've got a good idea. Keep it simple. And cheap! I think if I get a new truck I'll just do intake and exhaust and leave it. I'm tired of messing with headers and cats and it goofing your computer. How does it pull hills? How many gears do you have to drop to get up? Any problems you've had?

I've had no problems. It pulls hills fine and if you start out in the proper gear you don't have to down shift. Get one, you won't be disappointed.
