MPG things to check

Yeahhh last tank i was got 12.5 mpg and i didnt do anything to the engine. I recently have been getting bad gas mileage but i aint running around town flooring it , i do alot of high way driving so I was wondering things i should look at before I have someone else take a look at it. I can do almost anything a mechanic would be able to do but I just cant figure out what might be broken. I dont have a check engine lite.

11. Tires at 38 psi
12. changed to Mobil 1 synthetic...engine fluch
13. new airfilter
14. PCV valve
15. front end alignment

I get 15 in stop and go city driving, real crappy driving. On the highway 21 MPG at 75 MPH. I use maintenance dose of fuel additives every other tank, 1.5 oz. to 10 gallons.

The government changed the fuel requirements so we are all getting 5-10% drop in MPG. Isn't it great that we get gouged for a .55 cents a gallon tax and its compounded by higher prices and poorer quality.

I used to get 16 city/4x4 and 19 highway with my 89 3.0 with stock tires. I replaced my O2 sensor on my 91 4runner and picked up 2 mpg FYI so you might consider that. It had 150K miles on it and I was reluctant to drop the $150 but I think it has paid for it's self already.

What air pressure are you running with in your tires? How does the air filter look?

okay hereeeee we go

I recently did wire and plugs, injector cleaner,o2, air filter, fuel filter. I just finished the o2 today, the bolts that hold it on were soo rusted and heatted to death. So I dont know if it improved anything yet. Is there anything I am missing
