Mercedes ML side marker mod

Has anyone performed this mod found a place to buy the wire harness that connects to the back of the markers? The dealer told me the male connector is a one piece harness that is contained in the whole lighting harness! I don't know if he was feeding me a line or not, but I don't want to buy the whole harness.

If there is no harness available, I was thinking about soldering two wires to the back of the prongs and filling the gap around it with silicon.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome aboard apc...(sounds like the parts co.) I know Bratik did that exact Mecedes mod to his Runner...don't know if he's on this forum. I do know he got everything dirt cheap...like under $30.00 for everything. It requires cutting an odd shaped hole (like mine) and he had a template. If he does'nt chime in, I'll see if I can contact him. I got JDM Altezza (Japan) side markers. Made for the Lexus IS 300, I thought they'd look kool on my Runner. It did not come with a connector (I expected that) so I soldered wire leads an filled it with hot glue.

That's the post. Still can't believe how cheap those were...looks complete with the connector. I rejected the Audi marker 'cause it didn't even come with the bulb socket and local dealer did'nt have 'em. Thanks Phil...hope so too.

Hey guys,
I was out of town and didn't have access to internet. Jason, thanks for posting the message from 4x4wire. I have a small write up on my site. Let me know if you have any more questions.
