go test drive the new 4runner, take a box cutter with you. Drive about two miles out, pull into a gas station and gently pry off the emblem. Then pull out a alcohol pad and remove any residue remaining on the steering wheel. return the vehicle to the dealer, and then reapply the emblem to your steering wheel using some 3m spray on glue.
this is of course hypothetically speaking, since your just curious.

who knows, you might just be able to buy that emblem from the stealer.

Contact Todd (member name TOR). he works at a stealer and can pretty much get you anything a dealer can get their hands on.

Ive been kinda wondering the same thing, though I was more wondering about the newer 3rd gens. They should bolt right up right?? Its just mine is starting to flake off and look gross And I refuse to get one of those rediculous wheel covers, I think they are the ugliest things ever. And don't feel good, and make me worry about how they will preform when in an emergency ie, quick readjustments...

you can get a test drive without the salesman next to you. When I sold yotas I woud end people out alone all the time, they seemed happier that I wasn't there to nag them. Also gave me a chance to get another customer.

besides I was jus sayin hypothetically

EMBLEM

Yeah they do look kind of cool on the new ones don't they? As for price and availability, that is another story. Be perpared to spend at least $500 on the horn/Airbag assembly and that is a damned good price! No the emblem doesn't come off and as for the suggestion of prying it off that would be considered a felony due to the excessive cost. In addition the steering wheels are about $750 and up. I feel for you guys that have the crappy imitation leather steering wheel, mine is completely mangled and crappy. I finally gave up and put a black leather cover over it which looks cheap.

On a lighter note though, I am about to get my seats redone in a custom two tone leather by a friend of mine. He runs a company (Lonestar Leather) we use here at the dealership and is giving me a freebie for advertising. I will be posting pics as soon as it is done. His stuff is awesom and it's all real leather, no vinyl pieces anywhere, and it has twice the padding underneath. I am trying to get him to stich TRD on the door panels and the seats but he doesn't want to. When I get it done I will be posting pics and prices if anyone is interested. He is trying to fab leather pieces for the steering wheels as well, which I keep telling him there is a huge market for if someone can do a good job. I will keep you guys posted.

It's not a Toyota, so even the $tealer knows it's crap.
