i know off road solutions sell the kit for around a grand (01-04 tacomas) but, i thought i remember seeing a post, where somebody had the toyota part list- of the parts needed -in order to save some cash. anybody know what i am talking about?

you need the axles too, the best source for the parts is someone doing a sas or an auto wrecker.

I don't know, if you add everything up multiplying by the quantities needed and then add in the cost of the taco axles I think they are rough around the same price. I don't feel like throwing it all into a spreadsheet so I am guessing. I wish that page author had added the total cost up for us

 

just added it up. $986.68 WITHOUT AXLES. So they end up being almost the same.
