Magnaflow XL Turbo Series Reversible???

Guys,
I just had a 18" Magnaflow XL Turbo muffler installed, however, the tech installed the offset as the inlet and the center as the outlet. It sounds loud at low speeds (25-35 mph) but gradually tones down. Is this a problem? I wouldn't think so with a straight through design, but would I really notice a difference if it was installed correctly? I have 97 3.4L 4runner. Should I take it back in to get it reversed? I've searched alot of threads so I know some of you may have the answer. I've also heard that the XL series was discontinued, may for quite awhile, is this true? Thanks in advance for your help!

Makes zero difference... EXCEPT, if there are excessive bends in the piping to accomodate for the reversed inlet/outlet.
