Magnaflow, p0171, p0420 and p0500
2001 Taco 3.4L
The saga continues....
Put on a Magnaflow muffler and, as soon as the vehicle warmed up while driving, threw a P0171. OK, 150K + and we disturbed things putting on muffler so replaced it. Shortly there after noticed lousy mileage and threw a P0420.
Posted and was told the ECM was freaking out because of the pressure changes and the URD O2 Sim was the fixed ordered and got around to putting in today. Vehicle had less that a 1/4 tanks when I did it. Battery was disconnected for about an hour during the change. All connections soldered.
Runs great, no idea yet on mileage because on way to fill-up, threw a p0500...AAARRRGGGGGHHHHH. This simple muffler swap is beginning to get real expensive and real not worth it.
Any suggestions?
