LS & BPV Adjustments

My front brake pads have worn out within a year of replacing and resurfacing the rotors. I am not using those cheap organic pads so don't ask about that. I used semi-metallic brake pads so they should last much longer than a year or 10K miles on them. My next thinking is my rears are not adjusted right and I checked, but they were snug so my next guess is the LS BPV. I was on alldata at work today trying to figure out how to adjust the Load Sensing and Brake Proportioning valve (LS & BPV) but the intructions are not clear. Can someone help or send a link to somewhere? Thanks!

to be simple, the farther you adjust the rod up to the body = more pressure to rear brakes
