Low idle on the 3.0!
Greetings,
Awhile ago I posted on the 3.0 of having a low idle and I pulled the idle screw out and cleaned the carbon out, it worked for awhile but my low idle came back so I needed a new approach!
I turned the idle screw to increase the idle, thus giving the air by-pass more air, at the same time I adjusted the idle down at the throttle stop, since I took my dash-pot off I had to adjust it at the far stop by the t-body, you have to be careful on this adjustment, if you allow the t-plate to go to far it will stick and you will get a sticky t-plate/fuel pedal! Since most of you have a dashpot, you will have to adjust it here with a 8mm wrench!
This worked really good, no more low idle what-so-ever!
Just a little info for you 3.0 owners!

Good post..But i have a question,i will search later on ,for your old thread ,but just in case i dont get around to it ,was your low idle only a problem when you start up the runner after leaving to rest for a little while after a decent drive.?
thats when mine idles low,its almost like its chocking on something.
