where does it talk about reseting and how to?

Vehicle has to be sitting on a level surface with an inclination of +/- 0.5 degrees.
1.With the ignition switch in the Off position, press and hold the trip speedometer reset button.
2. Continue pressing the reset button while turning the ignition switch to the On position.
3. Within 5 seconds of turning the ignition switch On, release the trip switch, press trip switch 3 times and on the 3rd press, hold the switch for 5 seconds. The buzzer will sound for 1 second at 800HZ.
4. After the buzzer stops, release the trip switch.
5.Press the trip switch one more time and hold for 5 seconds. Once more the buzzer will sound for 1 second at 800HZ.

Not sure what everyone is driving but the 2000 4runner has an 18.3 gal tank, or so the manual says. I once drove 85 miles after my light came on and still had 2 gal left. I was carring a fuel can, with gas. FYI, the fuel pump is in the tank. The fuel cools the pump. If you run your tank low alot you are allowing your pump to get hot which could shorten its life.

Man, mine is really sensitive, fuel gage looks like it drops in a linear fashion, but the light comes on early and I fueled up after the light came on and stayed on for like 10 miles, it only took 13.2 gallons, that means I have like 5 gallons left when the light comes on, a good 80-100 miles.
I'm going to try that recalibration thing and see if it does anything for the low gas light.
