So, I'm trying to track down a rattle in the map light console and it appears I've shorted the radio and door open light. So I have a few questions:

1. How do I get the cover off the console so I can fix the rattle?

2. How do I get the radio and lights back?

The radio fuse looks good. What other info do I need?

dont know about the radio but when i was installing my radio i connected the wrong wires together and my interior lights would turn on either. Turned out to be the rear brake light fuse. So it could be some fuse you wouldnt even think had to do anything with it. So i would suggest to check all of em.

 

I second the check all fuses. Pretty much same thing with my radio.. I had a fuse out to something (can't remember but wasn't anything to do with radio or interior) and whenever I honked my horn the radio would cut off and not turn back on for 10 minutes. I would also suggest checking all the wires to make sure that there aren't two crossing or coming into contact with metal etc. Just my 2 cents.

 

Thanks guys, I found the radio. The interior lights fuse blew and that took the radio with it.

Any ideas for getting the cover off the map light console? I removed the small piece around the mirror post, but there are no tabs that I can see for the rest of the cover.
