hey. ive got some 33X12.5's on right now, but they rub too much, and plus they are bald (they came with the truck) on stock 92 aluminum wheels. I am wondering what are some decent-to-good tires, preferably alll season? budget kinda sucks, but it nearly suck as much when i hit the ditch due to my treadless tires on the way to the ski hill. im thinking 31's, as although it is more of a daily driver, i take her offroad at least 4 or 5 times a month (nothing too serious mind you, little mud here and there...). good all around performance is what im looking for, with good snow and ice control. any ideas??

 

BFG AT KO's or Dueler AT+II. Lots of threads about these two. Another option is the Yoko Geolander's. All these tires are premium in price with the Revo's being the most reasonable. What kind of $$ do you want to spend out the door?

heh, well, honestly i dont know. the only other car ive ever owned was an 86 civic hb, and buying tires for that thing was stupid. i got rubber all round for 120 bucks canadian. sure they were bald in 2 years, but for 30 bucks a tire i didnt give a crap. i dont know what is or isnt a reasonable price with tires for the gunner. damn shes a lot more expensive than my old tin can civic (dont get me wrong, i loved that car lol)

 

For 31's you would probably be around $500 USD out the door for the Duelers.

 

that would be my recommendation as well, BUT nitto only makes them for 16" wheels and larger.

I had the REVO's and, for the money, the Firestone Destination LE's are as good in both the rain AND snow, IMHO. Check out their AT's, also. I've heard good things about them. Both the REVO's and Destination's use the UNI-T technology. True, the REVO's are cool looking. I like the info on www.tirerack.com

For my truck the REVO's were about $150 each vs. about $90 each for the Destination LT's.

Michelin LTX M/S. Best traction and not all roundy so handling's decent too. Lots of sipes for excellent wet traction, too. IMO, of course. I've tried Wranglers, Duellers, both AT and HT, General (POS), others. I liked the BFG All Terrain T/A ko's too, but for an all-season the Michelin lasts longer (treadwear 500) and has a quieter ride as you'd expect from the less aggressive tread.
