looking to buy a 4runner

ok i'm new to the world of toyotas so don't get mad at me if i ask stupid qestions. ok im looking at getting a 1990 body style 4runner, what are some problems assosiated with these SUV's. are there any common things to watch out for. what years had the factory locking diff and how do you tell it it has one. and also i want to lift it maybe 3-4 inches what are some good lift kits that are cheap and what size tire can i fit.

thanx

Welcome to Yotatech!

The search button and the FAQ section are very helpful for answering your lift/tire size questions!

The locking diff was not available in the 2nd gen 4Runner.

There are recalls for the V6 head gasket and the steering relay rod.

Search and you shall find more than you need!!

Good luck, obviously ask questions if you can't find your answers!
