Is there anything that can be done to put a little more power into my 4 cyl. engine. Got an '02 Tacoma with standard trans. Great gas mileage, but it would be nice to have a little more juice when climbing.
Can't have my cake and eat it too, right? Hopefully that's wrong. I'm willing to put a little more gas in the tank for a little more power.
Any thoughts?

 

in general case, new header, intake, exhaust will help to gain 10-15hp.

 

ditto lce header intake of your choice 2.25'' exhaust with a 18'' magnaflow muffler

 

I'd say that a performance cam would help you out along with the other mods, intake, header and exhaust. Or you could put out some real bucks for a LC engineering supercharger or turbo.
I wasn't paying attention to what 4 you had, Im not sure it LC makes a supercharger or turbo for yours? might check, they do for the 2.4l
