Fender flare holes

I know you said you used metal tap but what kind metal tape ? I looked it up and actually there are a few different kinds. And also when you put the metal tape on there the body looked darker after the fact of you sanding it.
But you hadn't painted it yet. I was wondering what that was ?

No to resurrect an old thread, but I am also curious as to how the metal tape is holding up. I am considering removing all the plastic cladding on my Limited runner. I have used Durabak in the past, as well as other liners, but have never used metal tape to fill holes. I wonder how it holds up over time.
