I dunno what happened but here it is, maybe someone has an answer??

I came out to take trash cans back in and heard a clicking coming from my 4runner (1999 Basic, 2wd, 4cyl). It seemed to be around the battery area.

Got keys and tried to start, DEAD. Looked for source of drain, and saw lights @ my normal position for them(between on and off -daylight running, I think).

Got neighbor to jump and came back to life, drove around for a bit to bring some charge back (dont know if it works) and now the middle position on lights doesnt work?? Daylights BUT the Normal Light Setting works and so does off.

What happened??????????????

Anyone know?? Did I blow the daylight relay????

I need my 4runner 4 school (starts Monday)

Dont want anymore dead batteries (got cables and AAA but I wana fix this if its gonna be ongoing)

who uses headlights in the daytime anyhow?!?

haha im just kidding, but try checking the wiring, it could have melted if it was around the battery area

 

Thats just where the clicking seemed to come from??????????

 

swap the relay...
