has anyone heard about these lightning amps? how are they? the place i am getting my speaker from sells this kind of amp. anyone have one or heard anything about them? thanks!!!

Well, I don't know much about LA amps... but, someone wise once told me that some people believe an amp is just an amp.

Some of those amps you're just paying for the bells and whistles (e.g., neon lights and design)....

I think a really great deal is the US Acoustics amps... @ Crutchfield.com, there is a great deal right now.. e.g., the US Acoustics 4085 or 4065 -- they come with a *3* year warranty...

I would probably go for these, but my main concern is amp size (they're not the smallest size)... and I want to put them under the front seats... so, if that's not your concern..I would go for them... lot of power and no frills...

Maybe get either the USA 4085 or 4065 to power the front 2 and rear 2 spkrs..and maybe the US A 2150 to power a sub...

Lemme know how it works out...

(oh, if you really want to do some research and get opinions.. check out "elitecaraudio.com" or "sounddomain.com" -- but dang, all those ppl w/pocket rockets have loads of $$ to blow on the exotic stuff that's way too expensive for my taste )
