How much lift are you interested in seeing? Anything 4" or over?

Poseur pics

Here's a bunch of poseur pics from today.
Spent some quality time with the wash mitt and rig early this morning.

http://www.pnw4runners.net/pics/1st_wash_03/

Many more pics on my website near the top of the page under the listing of "Last few trail rides."

I am running around 2" of lift accomplished with Downey heavy duty coils in the rear, and the T bars cranked about 1.5" or so in the front.

This is a cheap way to get around 2" of lift.
You can add a 1" body lift from Roger Brown and make room for 32 to 33" tires, though I have room now for 32s with ease.

Yup, it is mine.

Yup, those are Eatons. I wanted something that was cheap, but looked different than all the rest of the cheap steelies.

To quantify the lift:
1" Roger Brown bodylift
slightly cranked 25mm t-bars
3" Downey rear kit
Beaten and trimmed fenderwells
33" MT/R's

I know many of you have seen this one, but you'll still need to cover your keyboards when viewing this image. This is Mike Hershauer's and is the baddest and cleanest 2nd gen I've ever seen. I just love this angle of it. That brakeover angle is something else. Actually, it is the sweetest 4Runner I've ever seen, period.

Yep, everytime I see Mike's rear bumper, $$$ signs flash through my head.
I have already shown Jeff the owner of Badland Bumpers who made my sliderz the pics of Mike's rig, and one day will have a rear bumper like his minus the tire rack.

That is one sano rig.

Oh, also for another high lifted rig, Dale's rig sits with about 8" of lift, and also sports leafs in the rear, and SAS up front.
Pics can be seen on our November run, and some vids on page II.

Two inch body, then 5ish on the springs front and rear. Those are only 35's, looks like 37's could fit with little or no trouble.

Was the point of the exercise a picture show, or were you looking to compare set-ups? Either one is cool, just trying to add some better help if at all possible.

That's a great looking rig. I'm planning a similar setup for mine - with Eatons

Who's, Mike's in the pic Darren posted?
You really can't call it a simple lift, as a lot was involved such as a solid axle swap up front after taking the IFS off, and in the rear the coils were swapped for leafs.

More details on the swap here.

Just off the top of my head, to do what he did would be close to $5K for a shop to do with parts & labor.

I think you can call it pretty simple, 2" body and 5" Alcans. The work going into it is not bolt-on, but it is common.

Cebby, thanks for the compliments. The lift and such and cool, but the gears and the ARB's are where it's at with this set-up. Try not to let my secret out about the Eaton's.

Your secret is safe with me. My next two big mods will be a rear ARB and Eatons/33's/Roger Brown 1". I have factory 4.88's so I'm not regearing. Do you have dual ARB's? How much did you need to "work" the fenderwells? Got any more pics?

Your rig is the model I'm following (until the SAS )

Actually, his set up won't fit 37's. The front fenderwells would need to be cut on the rear side, he'd need some inner fender well pounding and the front axle will need to move farther forward. I got 37s on mine, but the front axle was moved 3" forward and I had to get out the sheet metal trimmer and sledge hammer. I still rub just a little when fully stuffed and turning hard. I've got a little over 6" of suspenion lift and a 2" body lift.
