Lift types?

I am new to 4wheeling coming from sport cars. Browsing this forum I have gained tremendous amount of info. Can someone explain what different type of lifts there are besides suspension and bl. ie, like shackle, ball joint, etc. How much it cost? How much lift it gives you? Average cost? etc

thanks!

btw, this is for an 88 4runner looking to achieve a total of 7'' lift with a 3'' BL.

shackles and balljoints are part of the suspension... the balljoint spacer uses a fabricated metal spacer that places more room between the balljoint nad hte control arm for the front suspension if you have IFS ... for shackles they place the rear leaf springs further away from the frame... there are also ways of lifting as well, if its ifs, they make full ifs lift kits for the 4x4 that is basically a subframe that attaches to your frame and moves everything down... also for a 4x2 are lift spindles the point between the upper and lower control arm... you can also crank the torsion bars to get mroe lift as well

You can get longer shackles and bj spacers from roger brown for around 200 bucks. You can get a 3" BL from roger for around another 100 bucks. A 4" IFS lift can run you anywhere from $500-$1000. If you bought all of that stuff you could get around 6.5" of suspension lift, and 3" of body lift.

I already purchased the 3in BL from him. How much lift would the longer shackles and BJ spacers give me? With the IFS lift from say superlift or procomp, that would give me new componets like springs and shocks? This car has 230k on her and i think its time to replace those items along withe famous rear end sag.
