Lift kits

I've been looking for a lift kit for my 99 4runner but I can't find anything that will lift it significantly. Has anyone found anything? I'm looking for about 5 or 6 inches total between body and suspension lift.

Welcome to the boards! If your 4Runner is 4x4 the max lift you can go without tearing up your CV's is 2.5"- 3". There are many options to go with for a 2.5" lift.

Yes. Your best bet is to contact Roger Brown of 4Crawler Offroad. He can make a custom kit for you of better quality than any mass market kit with idiot-proof instructions. He'll reply to e-mails very quickly and thouroughly. His prices are less than most alternatives also. I had him make a custom 1.5 inch kit for me and it was very easy to install.

Here is Roger's bodylift info page.

You could do a combo body/suspension lift with pretty good results. Why do you want to go so high?

To fit a 33x12.50x16 tire underneath your 99 you need a suspension lift and a 3" body lift. You will also need to do some fender trimming and seam pounding. I've been talking about this with "VaBeach99Jade" from the ODW forums. More info can be found on this thread.

and you can view pics of his setup...

If you are close enough to VA, you could take your ride to him for the 3" body lift. I'm over 1,000 miles away and still debating on whether the trek is worth it or not. I've never been to that part of the US before, so I might just take off work and drive!

Really!? With 6 inches of lift I still need to cut and hammer stuff? I used to have a tacoma pick-up and fit 32x11.5" tires under it without doing anything.

yes i beleive so. i still rub on full turn with my 285/75/16's, but then again i haven't beaten the seam that much. i have done some massive amounts of trimming. as of right now i do still plan to drive up to VA to get the lift done, hell i need a vacation anyways

I went to your website and looked at your suspension pictures. Is that a 3 inch suspension lift? If so did it actually raise it 3 inches? And how was it to put on?

Well the coilovers are set to 3", but with almost 200lbs of weight added to the front I don't see that much. The front shocks were not hard to install after a little instruction from the master mechanic
