Lexus SUV possiblities
What drivelines were used in the Lexus SUV's? What componenents are interchangeable?
I've been lurking around www.lextreme.com in their conversion area, and it got me thinking. Why not just utilize the SUV stuff in place of the 3.0?
It's seems to me that they are similiar platforms in size and setup, it might make for a simple swap.
engines- ??
tranny-?? I would imagne is interchangeable
tc- ?? check drop side and fulltime lexus vs. stock 4 runner vs. upgrade.
I would prefer a straight engine swap to exchanging all the running gear and would like to know if it is possible.
Lexus gurus, it is your time to shine.

Yeah, thanks. I've been following Cebby's progress on the Lextreme forum.
Lexus has a 3.0 v6 that produces 220 hp. Kinda sounds similiar to the ill fated Camry head swap. What I looking for was could the V6 be an easy(easier) drop-in alternative to the other swaps. Just food for tought.

Let me add. My 3.0 is still running strong. I am open to an engine swap when it dies. I have not read about anyone considering the Lexus SUV powerplants as a viable option. It kinda makes sense to me on initial look suv => suv migt make an easier swap. I dunno, that's why I'm asking.
