Hey guys, got a y2k runner 240K miles, did the tranny bypass last summer, and you know where you connect the pc of hose between the cooler inlet/outlets at bottom of rad, well the drivers side fitting is kind of loose, meaning I can easily turn it a bit by hand, that is where the leak is coming from, where it threads into the rad,any ideas?? anyone had this issue, would like to fix it instead of replace rad right now, tried a bit of jb weld, worked a little ,for a while but the weeping fluid would not let the jb stick well, should I drain rad and clean area and try another method of sealent epoxy etc?? any help wouild be awesome thanks Mike

Drain it, fix it (epoxy, JB, whatever works), fill it. That's the cheap way. The other way is to buy a new radiator.

I thought there were certain epoxies that worked when wet?

 

I just need a temp fix while I decide on a radiator, any suggestions?? any input on the koyos??
